Seniors Month runs from 1–31 October 2023
Queensland Seniors Month recognises the valuable contribution of seniors in the community. Seniors Month provides opportunities to promote positive community attitudes towards older people and ageing.

COTA’s theme this year is Social Connections. Connecting with one another has never been more important. Queensland Senior’s Month provides opportunities for people of all ages, cultures, and abilities to connect through inclusive events and activities.

Sunshine Coast Council acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share.
We commit to working in partnership with the Traditional Custodians and the broader First Nations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) community to support self-determination through economic and community development.
