Muddy Fingers

Nature inspired ceramic | 27 Aug to 07 Oct | Nambour Library

Robyn Norris is a nature enthusiast with a deep-rooted connection with the natural world. Spending countless hours exploring forests, mountains and coastlines, Robyn has developed a profound appreciation of the beauty and wonder of nature. Robyn sees artistic beauty in leaves, trees and flowers and everything connected to our stunning environment and transfers this beauty into her work.

With a Science Degree background in Ecology and Conservation Biology, Robyn is dedicated to protecting and preserving ecosystems. She finds solace and inspiration in nature’s embrace. As a ceramic artist, she aims to integrate ecological principals into her work using a variety of earth coloured and textured clays, a carnival of glazes awarding colour and contrast to reflect nature in her ceramic work.  She endeavours to replicate nature into her pieces with an eye for detail and intensity, using different types of textures and glazes to represent nature as closely as possible. Outside of Robyn’s professional endeavours, you will find her gardening, bushwalking, birdwatching, and going on hiking adventures in National Parks.
