Patti Pennisi
Coastal and botanical inspired jewellery pieces | 1 Oct to 29 Oct | Kawana Library
Patti Pennisi has a Diploma of Graphic Design from the Queensland College of Art and has spent 30 years as a graphic designer. Patti now works with handmade polymer clay beads, hand-recycled plastic, acrylic, timber, seed beads, crystals, shells, pearls and more, to create joyous and tactile memorable jewellery pieces. Patti hopes that wearing one of her pieces brings happiness and joy to the wearer.
Patti Pennisi’s jewellery pieces are inspired by natural and human art. Her pieces reflect a coastal and botanical influence, inspired by sea colours and shells, seaweed and coral shapes. The majesty of age-old cultures are also reflected in her work, such as Indian and Turkish architecture, Japanese textiles, African beaded works, Torres Strait Islander weaving and shell work, and Balinese batik.
