Step into a world of glowing discovery! Our new light tables invite children to enjoy hands-on, sensory-rich experiences using light panels and colourful, translucent resources designed to spark curiosity and creativity.
The First 5 Forever initiative creates opportunities for families to build children’s brains and bodies through free, fun, playful experiences at their local library. Light tables and resources are available at the following branches during opening hours:
- Beerwah
- Coolum
- Kawana
- Maroochydore
- Nambour
Wooden tables have been custom made by the Blackall Range Woodcrafters Guild to house light panels.
Disclaimer
- Due to the light table resources containing small pieces, the recommended age for use is 4+ years.
- Adult supervision is required for children under 12 during the use of the light tables. Young people aged 12 and up can attend the library unsupervised.
- Light tables will remain available for use during opening hours except during Rhymetime, Storytime, or other programs for children under 4 years.
