Rocky and the River in Peril

New book reading | Thu 21 Nov | Maroochydore Library

Come and meet Rocky the Mary River Turtle and learn about dangerous plants and animals that threaten our endangered species. The children's book, Rocky and the River in Peril was created by Council's pest education officers, who will read the book (with Rocky’s help!). Learn about how important it is to keep our endangered wildlife safe.

A heartwarming story about one critically endangered Mary River turtle and their search for another turtle just like him! It is a story of adventure and perseverance as he encounters dangerous plants and animals that threaten the river and his chance to find a friend just like him.

Hear from Mary River Turtle expert, Marilyn Connell before the book reading and take home a free native plant.
