Lyn McGrath, Coastal Landscapes

Lyn McGrath began her creative journey drawing animal portraits in pastel, with a strong focus on African wildlife and Australian native species. Creating pet portraits for family and friends later helped her develop a deep appreciation for capturing personality and expression through art.

In recent years, Lyn’s practice has expanded to include acrylics and mixed media. This shift has allowed her to explore colour, texture and form in new and expressive ways.

The natural environment remains Lyn’s primary source of inspiration and continues to influence her evolving body of work.

Last year, Lyn exhibited her Flourishing Abstractions collection at the Railway Station Gallery. For this exhibition, she is pleased to present Coastal Landscapes — a collection celebrating the beauty, movement and atmosphere of the shoreline.
