Sunshine Coast Libraries and Qld Blue Light invite you to a series of free movie screenings at Beerwah Community Hall.

Bring your favourite comfy camp chair, bean bag or blanket or just come as you are – there's plenty of chairs available to use! Snacks will be available to purchase from the Hall kitchen.

Free. Registration essential. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Based on Jane Austen's 1813 novel, Pride & Prejudice features five sisters from an English family of landed gentry as they deal with issues of marriage, morality, and misconceptions. Sparks fly when spirited Elizabeth Bennet meets single, rich, and proud Mr. Darcy. But Mr. Darcy reluctantly finds himself falling in love with a woman beneath his class. Can each overcome their own pride and prejudice?

Nim's IslandSaturday 7 June, 6.00pm–8.30pm

The irresistible adventure created by author Wendy Orr, Nim's Island tells the story of 11-year-old Nim (Abigail Breslin), who lives on a secret island with her scientist father, Jack (Gerard Butler), and three best friends; an iguana, a sea-lion and a turtle. Nim is left alone on the island for a few days when Jack leaves on a scientific voyage to find rare algae.  Imagination and reality collide when Nim's father goes missing at sea. Fate brings to her the author of the Alex Rover series, her favourite books, and together they try to find Nim's father.
