Eric attended the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts and the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He has devoted himself to studying the combination of light and colour in Western impressionism. and traditional Chinese ink techniques.
Eric has undertaken academic exchanges with American galleries and Chinese and Russian oil painters. He has also been represented by the ShanghaI Banxi Art Institution as an 'Angel School' oil painting artist. In March 2023, Eric was invited to Australia for oil painting art and sketching.
