Cool Coding Kits

An introduction to coding for children aged 18 months+

Cool Coding Kits

Cool Coding Kits can be borrowed to provide children an introduction to STEM at an early age (18 months +). Each kit contains a Brio ‘Play and Learn’ device housed in a cooler with easy-to-follow instructions for parents.

Engaging with the kits helps children to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills while having fun. Children will have the opportunity to learn STEM skills with basic coding through exciting play.

What is STEM? What is coding?

STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics and is an integrative way to learn and apply these disciplines in everyday life.

Writing code, or coding, is the language used to direct a computer to perform specific functions (i.e., telling a computer what to do).
