Caloundra Regional Gallery in collaboration with Sunshine Coast Libraries proudly presents the next exhibition for the Maroochydore Library Artspace.

Ecology, beauty, life, and transcendent experience inspire local artist Marley Terania Polowyj-Stephen, and all thoroughly intersect in the works of Transcendent Beauty.

“Art has always played an important role in my life. It has allowed me to understand beauty and see it everywhere. Growing up in the Sunshine Coast, my life has been rich and colourful. Each one of these paintings draws on this local inspiration from Booloumba Creek, Kondalilla Falls, to the rolling green hills of Maleny, and stunning beaches from Caloundra to Cooloola. Some abstracted natural landscapes and others geometric motifs where the colours and shapes symbolise the vibe of certain places and music, some both – all are attuned to the natural and cultural beauty of the Sunshine Coast.” - Marley Terania Polowyj-Stephen

These artworks showcase individual qualities of ecology, beauty, life, and transcendent experience and the interconnectedness between them all. The works aim to evoke how if we are unsure of how to connect with one, all we may need to do is look for it in another. Marley Terania invites us to observe this synergy and push the boundaries of ordinary thought to grow new patterns and begin to think outside of one’s own box.
