Nicola Fleming Pottery

Nicola has always had a passion for creativity, which led her to begin her journey into pottery. She finds the process relaxing, peaceful, and therapeutic, while also enjoying the tactile and artistic aspects of working with texture and her hands. Her interest in pottery emerged after a successful stint designing knitwear in the 1980s.

Her pottery pieces are entirely handmade and carry a souvenir-style charm. Drawing inspiration from her love of travel and the joy of collecting meaningful, useful mementos, Nicola set out to create items that would evoke memories of a wonderful holiday on the Sunshine Coast. She envisioned pieces that could sit proudly on a coffee table, adorned with cheese and crackers, sparking conversations and nostalgia.

Each plate is individually rolled, shaped, and hand-painted, making every item a unique work of art. Nicola’s creations are designed to be cherished and treasured—beautiful reminders of special moments and places.
