Debbie Costin

Debbie Costin is a lifelong artist whose creativity is deeply rooted in her family and heritage. Drawing inspiration from her Scandinavian background, she explores heartfelt themes of sisterhood, connection, and belonging. Her work weaves together personal stories and universal ideas, using rich symbolism to create pieces that resonate widely. Debbie also finds inspiration in the coastal beauty of our local surroundings, adding a sense of place to her art. 

As a woman living with a disability, Debbie brings a powerful and authentic voice to her practice. Her lived experience challenges stereotypes and opens up space for thoughtful conversations around identity and accessibility. Through her art, Debbie invites us to reflect, connect, and see the world through a more inclusive lens.
