Join the Heritage Library team to celebrate Heritage Month and the history of cars on the Sunshine Coast. Can you identify the make and model of a car at first glance? Take the quiz to find out! Hear a first-hand account about the first car on the coast and view some great motoring pictures in the library collection.
Learn how to upload your own classic car photo onto Sunshine Coast Life for the community to enjoy. After the talk, check out the classic cars in the Eddie De Vere carpark.

The Nambour Museum lower level will also be open from 4 – 6pm. See the museum's new motoring display featuring a 1925 Willys Overland tourer and locomotives from the former Moreton Sugar Mill. Access is via the Bury Street entrance with free admission or donation.
Want to make a weekend of it?
Visit the Landsborough Museum Street Festival, Saturday 17 May from 10am and enjoy classic cars, live music and more. Kids will love the free face painting, animal petting zoo, craft activities, sweet treats, entertainment, and fun experiences. There’s an exciting new “Bounce” exhibition in the museum, about our local sporting history.
Plus, a special First Nations Welcome to Country at 10am. Free event. No registration required.

Cleaning up your photo albums? Picture Sunshine Coast is a database of over 29,000 images that depict the history and development of the Sunshine Coast.
They are an excellent source for local history research, school assignments and for people wanting to see how the Coast looked in the "old days". The images can be viewed and printed from the Sunshine Coast Libraries catalogue. Find out how you can donate an image.
