Libraries invite you to see Leigh Sales, respected Australian award-winning journalist and author in-conversation at Venue 114, Bokarina on Friday 1 December 2023.
Leigh will be in-conversation with special guest, ABC Sunshine Coast journalist Owen Jacques about her new book Storytellers: questions, answers and the craft of journalism.
Enjoy an hour mingling before the show with light refreshments, cash bar and live music by talented local artist, Inessa.
Storytellers is told in ten sections – from news reporting and editing, to investigation, commentary and of course interviewing. Leigh takes the reader on a tour of the profession while showcasing other leaders in the field. She writes about surviving in war zones, how journalists get their leads, and adapting to crises, disasters and the unexpected.
Leigh is one of Australia’s most respected journalists. As the new presenter of Australian Story and the recent host of 7.30, she has interviewed dozens of world leaders and has anchored the last three federal elections for the ABC. Leigh is the winner of three Walkley Awards and co-host of the popular podcast Chat 10 Looks 3 with Annabel Crabb.
Leigh's books will be available to purchase from Rosetta’s Books after the event. Leigh will also be available for book signings.
