Scam Awareness Week | Let's talk scams

Scams Awareness Week is from 8 to 12 November 2021 and this year’s theme is ‘Let’s talk scams’. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is encouraging everyone to talk to their friends and family about scams.

Scammers target people from all walks of life in Australia. All of us need to become educated on what to look for so we do not become a victim of a scam.

Scams are created to look real and to catch you off guard when you are not expecting it. Scammers constantly take advantage of new technology, products, life events and services to convince people to provide their personal details or money.
