 Calling all writers!

The Storytellers' Festival is seeking applications from emerging or established authors to feature as part of the official event program on Tuesday 30 August 2022 between 2.00-7.30pm.

Fiction and nonfiction authors are welcome to apply. We encourage all storytellers - writers, playwrights, poets, novelists, comic book creators and illustrators.

Are you?

  • An established author moving into a new genre or form
  • A recently published author of your first book
  • Self-published or only have a few titles to your name
  • A permanent resident of Sunshine Coast Council Local Government area

You can be any age, we encourage diversity.

Selected participants will be given the opportunity to promote themselves via various exclusive opportunities provided during the Storytellers Festival, as part of the greater Horizon Festival and within Sunshine Coast Libraries.

A commitment to diversity, inclusivity and accessibility underpin the Storytellers' Festival program. The festival will cultivate and develop an engaged community of storytellers. This new literary event will showcase a program of authors and storytellers, exclusively from the Sunshine Coast region.
