Safe Driving for Seniors
There is no doubt that our society is an ageing one, but with good health, the right attitude to the driving and some adjustments where necessary, there are few reasons why older drivers cannot retain their on-road mobility and independence. RACQ offers the Years Ahead program to assist older motorists to drive safely for longer by being aware of their own capabilities.
This presentation covers age-related road safety issues, helps participants update their knowledge of changes to the road rules and learn some helpful driving tips. It also covers important issues such as physical fitness and medical requirements to drive, plus the options available once retired from driving.
