So, what is cross stitching? Falling into the sewing family, cross stitch is a counted-thread embroidery in which X-shaped stitches are stitched together in pattern to form a picture. The stitcher counts the threads on a piece of evenweave fabric in each direction so that the stitches are of uniform size and appearance (Source: Wikipedia)

  • Fabric (get the ‘aida’ light colour option)
  • Coloured thread
  • Embroidery scissors
  • Embroidery hoop
  • Pattern
  • Tapestry needle and needle minders (a minder looks after your loose needles)
