Building healthy relationships | Staying connected

Navigating the tricky road of relationships can be difficult. After a year of lockdowns and social distancing we have had to rethink some things we took for granted.

Relationships consist of our partner and family, but also our friends, neighbours and colleagues. COVID-19 restrictions have caused emotional and financial strain on many people and now may be the time to reach out. It can be as simple as checking in with people and asking the question 'are you ok?'

We are not all born great communicators and it is not always easy to know what to see when someone is struggling. Lockdown has been an unusual experience and isolation and loneliness has created a generation of people facing issues they never thought they would.

Feel confident about creating healthy relationships and opening the lines of communication by reaching out to a neighbour or friend who may need a friendly ear.
