Tax Help is a network of ATO-trained and accredited community volunteers who provide a free and confidential service to help people complete their tax returns online using myTax.
Are you eligible for Tax Help?
You are eligible for Tax Help if your income is around $60,000 or less for the income year and if you meet other requirements as specified on the ATO website.
What can volunteers help you with?
Volunteers can help you lodge your tax return or amendment online or claim a refund of franking credits.
If a volunteer works out that you do not need to lodge a tax return, they can help you complete a non-lodgment advice.

If you are eligible for Tax Help, you will need a myGov account linked to the ATO. If necessary, the Tax Help volunteer can help you create a myGov account if you do not have one.
Tax Help volunteers can use an alternate process to assist customers who genuinely cannot complete their tax return online.
A Tax Help volunteer is available at the following libraries: Caloundra, Coolum and Nambour.
To make an appointment, visit your local library or call (07) 5475 8989.
If you are unable to attend at the library, the ATO is offering Virtual Tax Help and Tax Help by phone –13 28 61.
