Big Ideas, Small Spaces | Create your happy green place

Australia has a desirable climate that allows us to spend time outdoors enjoying our own space. Not all of us have a traditional backyard with many people living in smaller living areas.

Plants are known to have positive effects on our mental health, so it makes sense to surround ourselves with them. Do not let a smaller outdoor space limit your imagination and deter you from creating the garden you want.

Courtyards, balconies and indoor entertaining areas are great places to get creative and design small gardens whilst maximising space. You could create a vertical garden or add some lattice for climbing plants. Hanging pots, bench top terrariums, planter boxes and container plants are options that can be easily moved if you are in a rental property.
