Josephine Wants To Dance, by award-winning duo author Jackie French and illustrator Bruce Whatley, is the story of a young Kangaroo named Josephine as she pursues her dream to dance, despite being told it isn’t possible. This sweet tale shows us all that dreams are worth chasing. First published in 2006 by Harper Collins Publishers, the title has been adapted into an acclaimed theatre production.

The book’s author Jackie French has written over 170 books and won more than 60 national and international awards, including the Australian Children's Laureate for 2014/2015.

Bruce Whatley is one of Australia's best-loved author/illustrators, having illustrated over 70 books and collaborated with Jackie on many occasions. These two literary extraordinaires have created iconic titles such as Josephine Wants To Dance, Diary of a Wombat and Pete the Sheep.
