COVID-19 update: Limited opening of Libraries

Welcome back.

Sunshine Coast Libraries are working through the implications of the further easing of COVID-19 restrictions. To begin welcoming the community back, the doors opened from Monday 25 May - however the service is very limited to ensure the safety of our community and staff.

Ten (10) customers at any one time will be permitted into the library to pick up reservations, select and borrow items. Numbers will be strictly monitored and customers will be required to act on the advice of library staff, observe social distancing and practice good hygiene. Customers may browse and borrow for a maximum of 15 minutes and it may be necessary for customers to queue safely at some branches.

Current opening hours

  • Branches will be open Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm until further notice.
  • Kenilworth Library will be open Monday to Friday normal hours, but closed on Saturday.
  • The Mobile Library will be closed until further notice.

Returns chutes are available at all libraries and WiFi remains available.

The Click & Collect service and the extensive eLibrary and online programs will continue to be available.

Contact the Tech & eLibrary helpdesk for help with your device, getting online or using the eLibrary. You can also continue to contact libraries.
