Eudlo is of Aboriginal origin and means "fresh water eel"
Eumundi
Almost all of the Eumundi district was part of three cattle runs
Kenilworth
The town, on the Mary River, is named after a cattle run

The name 'Maroochydore' was given to the area by Andrew Petrie
Mooloolaba
Originally the name 'Mooloolah Heads' was given to the area

The town was originally called Petrie's Creek

Derived from Aboriginal word "dhippi" or "jippi" meaning "birds"

Originally called Middle Camp, then Cobb's Camp
