Understanding the challenges of dementia care
14 Aug 12
Sunshine Coast Council presents free Dementia Care information sessions at various library locations across the Coast throughout August and September 2012.
Lorrae and Vince O’Rourke from Dementia Network Sunshine Coast understand the challenges and emotions of caring for a loved one suffering from dementia.
Vince, author of I Wish I Were a Leper, cared for his first wife who died from Alzheimer's disease. As part of Dementia Awareness Week activities he will share his personal story while Lorrae discusses the nature of dementia and outlines services available to the community.
To secure your place visit council’s library website or call one of the following Sunshine Coast Library branches on 1300 LIBRARY.
